Construction Photos

Construction of Two Up took place over 6 years from 1996 to 2002. We moved from Cairns to Brisbane as the first part of the puzzle fell into place and I accepted a transfer with the company that I was working for. The next task was to find somewhere to build the a 12 meter catamaran with the added advantage of a dwelling on the site .(we weren't all that concerned what the house looked like as the main focus was the construction site)

695 Manly Rd at Manly West presented itself as the ideal place and construction started.

After 12 months, the hulls are ready for turning

Bulkheads and frames being installed

Glassing and bogging of all external surfaces

Add a lick of paint

Engines being installed (about the fourth time)

Amazing what you can achieve with a truck load of timber and 44 gallons of glue
